Suffering a critical illness or condition is more likely than you may think.
- 1 in 2 men are predicted to develop heart disease in their lifetime
- 1 in 3 women are predicted to develop heart disease in their lifetime
- 40,000 to 50,000 Canadians suffer a stroke each year
- During their lifetime:
- 1 in 2.5 men and 1 in 2.8 women living in Canada will develop cancer
